Veer Murarbaji: The Battle of Purandar is an upcoming Indian historical drama directed by Ajay Arekar and Anirudh Arekar, produced by Almondss Creationss. The film stars Ankit Mohan as the legendary Maratha warrior Murarbaji Deshpande, alongside Sourabh Raaj Jain as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dipika Chikhlia as Jijabai, and Arun Govil as Shahaji.
Set in 1665 during the Battle of Purandar, the film depicts how Murarbaji Deshpande, the Killedar of Purandar Fort, led 700 elite Mavlas against Diler Khan's Mughal army. The film releases simultaneously in Hindi and Marathi on 19 February 2026, coinciding with Shiv Jayanti.
